The Golden Isles Film Festival (GIFF) is a celebration of independent filmmaking, devoted to championing original voices and fostering meaningful connections between creators and audiences. Nestled along the scenic Georgia coast, GIFF takes place in the beautiful Golden Isles, the #1 Best U.S. Islands, per Travel + Leisure's 2024 World's Best Awards, serving as a destination film festival and platform for filmmakers to share their work, engage in dialogue, and receive direct support from a community passionate about the art of storytelling.

With a focus on diverse, impactful categories such as Adopted Voices, Women-Made, and International films, our festival offers opportunities for both emerging and established artists to shine. Supported by the Golden Isles Film Society, GIFF invites you to experience the heart of independent cinema from October 16–18, 2025, in Historic Downtown Brunswick, Georgia.

“State of the Film Industry”

Courtesy of Savannah, GA (WSAV), The Bridge – The film industry means big business for the stage of Georgia! The Georgia film office reported that film and tv production spent 2.6 billion in the state in the 2024 fiscal year and a total of 11 billion in the last three years. We spoke with experts on their opinions of where the film industry is headed.
