The Golden Isles Film Festival, Inc. (GIFF), is committed to fostering a respectful, inclusive, and safe environment for all attendees, participants, and staff.

Respect and Inclusion

Professionalism: Engage with others in a courteous and respectful manner. We highly encourage conversations about a film with its creators, however, any discussions that are deemed inappropriate (i.e. conversing poorly about a film, filmmaker, or personal opinion of their work, etc.) will not be tolerated. Evidence of this will incur removal from GIFF related events, such as the film festival and events related to GIFF (Golden Isles Film Society and Golden Isles Film Academy) without any monetary refund.

Diversity: Embrace and support an inclusive environment for individuals of all backgrounds. Our festival promises not only a celebration of film, but also within culture. Discrimination based on race, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any other personal characteristics will not be tolerated.

Harassment-Free Environment: Harassment in any form, including verbal, physical, or visual conduct, is strictly prohibited.

Event Integrity: Maintain the integrity of events by avoiding disruptions and respecting the space and experiences of others. The filmmakers pour their heart and souls into their work, so please be respectful of the vision and opinions behind the inspirations of the film.

Reporting Mechanism: Any violations should be reported to GIFF staff or an official security member promptly. All reports will be addressed with confidentiality and seriousness.

Responsive Action: GIFF reserves the right to take necessary actions, including removal from the event, to ensure compliance with this code. Failure to comply with these standards may result in removal from the festival without refund, and possible exclusion from future events.

Event Acknowledgement: By attending a GIFF event, in any capacity, you understand that you release GIFF, its affiliates, and executive staff from any liability, including but not limited to attorney and court fees.
